Aquaria KLCC, a popular destination for locals in downtown Kuala Lumpur
Located close to the Petronas Twin Towers and shopping malls, it is conveniently located for a day of sightseeing all together.
If you are planning to visit Aquaria KLCC and are considering where to buy tickets, here is how to purchase them.
I recommend Klook, a booking site.
In addition, I will also provide information on how to access the Aquaria KLCC.
I hope this will be of help to you when you travel to Malaysia.

Save on Aquaria KLCC ticket purchases through our booking site.
There are three main ways to purchase tickets for Aquaria KLCC.
- Ticket counter at the entrance of the aquarium
- Online tickets at Aquaria KLCC official website
- Tickets online at the booking site
Ticket counters and official websites sell at regular prices.
Among the above purchase methods, the booking site is convenient and allows you to purchase tickets at a discounted price without standing in line.
Recommended booking site “Klook“.

There are several reservation sites, among which Klook is recommended for its ease of use with language settings and payment in your own currency.
I made a reservation at Klook 2 hours before the day of the event and had no problems.

Furthermore, prices are divided between weekdays and holidays.
Ticket counters and official websites charge higher prices on weekends and holidays, but Kook offers the same prices on both weekdays and holidays!

These are the prices purchased at the ticket counter.
75RM for one adult on weekdays, 79RM on holidays.
In the case of Klook, the price is 63 RM, so on a holiday you can buy it for 20% less than the regular price.
If you prefer a booking site other than Klook, please see below.
All sites are available at lower than normal prices.
How to use tickets
There is a gate at the end of the ticket counter, and if you have an online ticket, you can enter by holding up the QR code you received in your e-mail.
You can enter smoothly without even presenting your passport.
Crowding near entrance
The photo was taken on Sunday morning just after the 10:00 opening.
Even though there were about 30 people in line, I was able to get in smoothly.
The number of people allowed in at one time is limited to 400, but it was not too crowded on Sunday morning or Monday afternoon.
If there is no group use, the wait time does not seem to be a concern.
When purchasing over the counter
If you wish to purchase tickets directly instead of through the booking site, you can do so at the ticket counter located a short distance from the Aquaria KLCC entrance.
Reviews indicate that there can be a line, but when I actually went there, it was not crowded.
I went on a Sunday and did not see anyone purchasing tickets at the ticket counter, and many of the locals also seem to have online tickets.
Since last-minute purchases can be made on the booking site, it may be a good idea to use the ticket counter if you want to use cash.
About Aquaria KLCC
Aquaria KLCC is an aquarium that opened in 2005 and covers an area of approximately 5,600 m2 (60,000 ft²). It is a compact aquarium, about half the size of the Enoshima Aquarium in Japan.
Although compact, it is divided into two floors where visitors can view more than 5,000 creatures.
A distinctive feature is the 90-meter-long underwater tunnel.
Visitors can enjoy the underwater atmosphere while moving slowly on a conveyor belt.
The museum is air-conditioned neither hot nor cold, and a jacket is not particularly necessary.
A map of the museum is not available on the official website, and the following website can be used as a reference.

How to access
The KLCC Aquarium is located in the basement of the Convention Center adjacent to KLCC Park.
The entrance is easy to find with a prominent door from the convention center entrance.
If you are going from the KLCC Park side, there are no signs on the ground and it may be a little difficult to find.
If you take a GRAB cab, you can get there by setting “Aquaria KLCC” or “Convention Centre” as your destination.
From the Convention Center
If you are taking a cab to Aquaria KLCC, get off at the convention center entrance.
It is easily recognized by the large “aquaria” sign at the entrance to the convention center.

From KLCC Park side
There are no particularly prominent signs from the KLCC Park side, but you can reach the convention center by walking along the perimeter road inside the park.
Downstairs, there is a food court.
Once there, you will see the Aquaria sign so you will not get lost.
From the underground passageway of Suria KLCC
Aquaria KLCC is connected to Suria KLCC, a shopping mall, by an underground passageway.
If you want to escape the heat or rain outside, it is convenient to go through the underground passage.
It is also quicker to go through this underground passageway when heading from the KLCC LRT station.
Pass through the passage between Maybank and Guardian drugstore on the basement floor of Suria KLCC.
There are several “Aquaria KLCC” signs at the top of the walkway.
The passage ahead is almost a single road.
The only branch is access to the parking lot, so you can get there without getting lost.
When you reach the basement of the convention center, you will see Aquaria KLCC information at the top of the walkway.
Follow the directions to get there.
There is a Starbucks Coffee near the Aquaria entrance.
Length of Stay
The official website states that the stay is 2 hours, but actually 1 hour is enough time to get around.
It is divided into several themes and is designed to create different atmospheres so that visitors will never get bored.
Those who wish to go at feeding time can check the schedule on the official website.

Is it easy to enter alone?
Many local families come here, but don’t worry about coming in alone.
There are many foreign tourists, and it is easy to relax without being looked at in a special way because you are a foreigner.
There are several photo points at the entrance and inside the building, but if you don’t need them, just say “No thank you” and move on.
Finally.
Aquaria KLCC is compact and can be seen in a short time, so it is best to go there together with other sightseeing such as shopping at Suria KLCC and Petronas Twin Towers.
Downtown Bukit Bintang is also close by, so you can walk there after seeing the aquarium.
As a reminder, please make sure that you do not make a mistake, as Malaysian tourist tickets are divided into two categories, one for Malaysians and the other for foreign visitors.
When you visit Kuala Lumpur, be sure to visit the KLCC Aquarium in conjunction with the Petronas Twin Towers.
Thank you for reading to the end.
